Copyright & takedowns
Last updated October 9, 2026
Pinswap links to third-party sources — manufacturer manuals, catalogues, forum posts — and states facts from them (pin numbers, functions, wire colours, part numbers) in our own words. We don't host copies of those documents or their pages. If we've still got something wrong, we'll take it down.
Sending a notice
If you believe content on Pinswap infringes your copyright, send a notice through the contact form with:
- the work you claim is infringed, or a representative list;
- where it appears on the Site (the page or URL);
- your contact details;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and
- your signature (electronic is fine).
What we do
We review each notice, remove the cited source and any material quoted from it promptly, and may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe.
Counter-notice
If your own submission was removed by mistake, contact us with the same detail and explain why you believe the removal was in error. We'll review it and may restore the material.
Source-policy takedown rule
Under our source policy, if a rights holder or a hosting site asks, we remove that source's citation and anything quoted from it, and keep the underlying value only if another source supports it.
